It is very important that we spend some time acknowledging our nurses for their inspirational work caring for our most vulnerable. At Community and Oral Health our diverse services are widely spread, and the care we provide is often complex and critical for the well-being of our patients and healthy aging of our community.
Over the past few years, we have seen our nurses offering their support to meet the increased demand on our health services due to the COVID-19 response.
International Nurses Day in 2022 is themed ‘Nurses: A voice to lead – Invest in nursing and respect rights to secure global health’. The day focuses on the need to invest in nursing and respect the rights of nurses in order to build resilient, high quality health systems to meet the needs of individuals and communities now and into the future.
Collectively, our nurses make up the majority of the workforce in Community and Oral Health and are the heart of our health service.
Thank you all for your ongoing commitment and compassion to our patients and residents. You should all be extremely proud of the work you do and the care you provide.
