There are many teams and individuals across our service who are unsung heroes who don’t get the accolades that they deserve.

As part of National Stroke Week, I want to share Bob’s story and the work of the Community Based Rehabilitation Team (CBRT).

Bob is a patient that has been cared for by CBRT since his stroke in June and release from Redcliffe Hospital.

While the last few months have been a very difficult time for Bob it has also been a period of reflection and recovery.

Bob, who has his 89th birthday just around the corner, was quickly able to get back into some of the things he enjoys with the support of his family and the CBRT team including life in the garden and playing lawn bowls.

Only a week to go

There is only one week to go to nominate those unsung heroes for an COH Staff Excellence Award.  We have received close to 60 nominations but happy to receive more!

You can easily nominate a colleague or team.

Quote to ponder
