A special shout out to our COH pharmacistsOur Pharmacy team has significantly enhanced the care we provide and our ability to keep our patients safe across Community and Oral Health. We now have 35 pharmacists working across our services lines, safely helping our residents and patients transition through Metro North Health and COH services with medications. The most recent additions to this team have included pharmacists in the Diabetes Service and Home Hospital, as well as three new pharmacy assistants. Thank you to our pharmacy team for the work they do in growing and enhancing this important service. With World Pharmacist Day next Monday, I would encourage you to take the time to Shout Out your favourate pharmacist! |
Farewell to Cassi
After a year, the staff from the Brighton Brain Injury Service (BBIS) said goodbye to one of their favourite patients Cassi.
Cassi has now returned home with her family and and we wish her all the best and future happiness as she is surrounded and supported by her loved ones.
In the same week, we also saw another patient Sunny heading home to be with their loved ones after a severe injury just over a year ago.
Thank you to the staff at BBIS for their compassionate and dedicated work supporting Cassi and Sunny through very difficult times.
The dedication and compassion you provide is inspiring to us all.
Compliment – Community Transition Care ProgramAnother great compliment I would like to share: “Mum was in Brighton Health Campus for a number of months. Thank you for organising a great team of therapists, nurses, social worker and domestic help to provide more rehabilitation for mum to help her achieve her goals and what she wanted to do. “She is nearly back to her good health before she had her fall when she broke her hip. You took such great care of her, even noticing that she wasn’t taking her tablets properly. “I honestly think without the hard work of all the team, Mum may not have been here. She could have had another fall, she may have gotten so much worse or be in a nursing home. “I found the team to be helpful, caring, very kind, thoughtful and compassionate toward Mum and myself. “You have been very helpful and given advice on what you thought mum needed to reach her goals. Thank you for what you are still doing to help us get more care for Mum until she gets assessed again.” |
Executive Roadshow @ Halwyn
Our regular monthly executive roadshow will continue on Tuesday at the Halwyn Centre where staff, residents and executive will have the opportunity to have a chat and reflect on why working at Halwyn is so great.
At the same time, we will continue our monthly shining star awards with a number of the Halwyn Centre staff nominated for the monthly directorate award.
Enterprise Scheduling Management (ESM) training updateInstructor-led classroom training for Enterprise Scheduling Management (ESM), the ambulatory outpatient scheduling module of the integrated electronic Medical Record (ieMR), starts next week – Monday 25 September 2023. Instructor-led training sessions will be held across several Community and Oral Health (COH) locations.
