New COVID case numbers seem to be following the trajectories that have been modelled and are consistent with the trends we have seen in NSW and Victoria. The Omicron variant is dominating our cases and conversion to hospital care remains manageable at present however we face certain and significant challenges in the coming weeks and vigilance around PPE and other tried and tested infection control strategies is more important than ever.

RBWH staff unable to attend the staff clinic may be able to coordinate a drive through RAT collection service
- Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm – Phone EOC 36470463
- The After Hours Nurse Manager office may be contacted via switch in urgent cases where access to a RAT is required for critical service delivery continuity after hours
Can I get a free RAT testing kit to have at home just in case?
While we have limited supply of RAT kits we can only provide free kits for staff that are confirmed close contacts requiring a test to support a return to the workplace.
Thanks for your ongoing support during a challenging time
