Safely travelling to work and recommended access

As we are all aware, heavy rainfall continues and there are some access issues around RBWH for those coming into work. The intersection at Bowen Bridge Road and Butterfield Street is flooded. The Butterfield Street carpark is safely accessible via Kelvin Grove along Herston Road.
Directions below to assist

  • Those travelling from the north can drive through Kelvin Grove and then down on Herston Road.
  • Once on Herston Road you can turn left onto Bowen Bridge Road and then left again onto Central Drive into the hospital
  • Drive up the hill on Central Drive and take the second right down towards the carpark.
  • The boom gate at Butterfield Street car park is open for all staff.

Please drive safely and speak to our afterhours managers should you have any concerns.

Please share this information with colleagues who may not have email access.

For those coming to work please take extra care on the roads and thank you for your continued efforts caused by this weather front.

Kind regards

Gill
