The severe weather and flooding in Brisbane is having significant impacts to a number of areas across RBWH.
- Clinical care
All planned surgery, procedures and outpatients have been cancelled tomorrow and will be rescheduled accordingly. Virtual and Telehealth appointments are to continue as planned. - Staff unable to leave the hospital due to road flooding are being accommodated on site.
- Visitors unable to leave are being accommodated in patient lounges and recliners next to their loved ones
- Staff who may be unable to attend work tomorrow are to contact the After Hours Nurse Managers.
- Access to the hospital – For your safety please check the RACQ website which has full details of roads closed. If you are able to attend then please allow ensure sufficient time to come safely to work.
- We will need all of your support tomorrow to ensure that we provide safe care to our patients
- Parking – the Butterfield Street hospital car park is open but access is only available via central drive from Bowen Bridge road or via Bramston Terrace off Herston Road.
- Cornerstone Car Park is also available at their usual rates.
Tomorrow will be a challenging day for RBWH so I thank you all in advance for your support and efforts to date.
