Since we established our philanthropic partnership with the RBWH Foundation, Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital has continued to grow in its fundraising success and in bringing our hospital and community closer together.
We launched the partnership back in 2020. Since then, more than $230,000 has been raised to benefit our hospital.
Those funds have been raised with the help of people like Dr Joel Dulhunty, who rode 2,500 kilometres on his bike from Cairns to Redcliffe, and the REDDY Fun and Fitness team, who organised the REDDY Fun Run last year. Last year’s Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day was the most significant success though, raising more than $170,000.
Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital’s Local Impact Report tells that success story. This report shares with everyone involved so far how their support is making a difference to hospital patients and staff.
Much of the work contributing to Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital happens out in our community, with fundraising manager Sharyn Tidswell working to build connections with local business and community groups. Thanks to that work, there will be a Business Leaders Lunch later this month, where Dr Amanda Dines will be the keynote speaker. Next month, Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital will be hosting another Research Giving Circle Dinner, which will feature our new Senior Nursing Researcher, Dr Amanda Fox. In September, at a Spring Gala Ball, Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital will launch its Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day campaign.
Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day is the biggest event in the Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital calendar. It will be held this year on Friday 14 October. Planning is already underway to make it even bigger and better than last year. Now is the time to start talking to your colleagues about how you and your team will contribute to Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day this October. If you’d like to get involved, click here.

Thank you for everything you’ve done to support Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital. We’re grateful to our partners, the RBWH Foundation, for everything they’ve done too. Working in a partnership like this is proof that we’re stronger when we work together. #IamRedcliffe.
