Many of you will have heard the sad news that our colleague, Andrew Standfast, passed away recently after a short and courageous health battle.

Andrew joined the Operating Theatre team at Redcliffe Hospital in 2008, coming to us from TPCH. During his 14 years at Redcliffe Hospital, he was known to be a caring and dedicated nurse.

Those who worked with Andrew knew him to be a fun, quick-witted storyteller who always made them laugh, and his colleagues loved working with him.

The Surgical Service Line team has reached out to Andrew’s family during this difficult time to make sure they know that we share their grief at this tragic loss.

Andrew will be missed dearly and remembered fondly by his friends and colleagues at Redcliffe Hospital.
