Redcliffe Hospital’s Clinical Council continues to play an essential and influential role in our hospital’s leadership. At this month’s meeting, there were several important changes that we’d like to share with everyone.

Clinical Council Membership

Earlier this year, we circulated an Expression of Interest inviting staff from all professions to join the Council. This was a major evolution in our Clinical Council, which has now welcomed a wider variety of voices and experiences.

Please join us in welcoming these new members to Clinical Council:

  • Georgina Caldwell – Midwife
  • Rebecca Olling – Domestic and Family Violence Specialist
  • Saskia Hennes – Clinical Psychologist and Psychology Team Leader
  • Michelle Cope – Director, Health Information Services
  • Liz Hayward – Assistant Director, Pharmacy
  • Emma Fitzhenry – NUM, Paediatrics
  • Dr Michelle Caudwell – Deputy Director, Orthopaedics

Together with these new members, the Council appointed a new Consumer representative, Jane Geltch, and two First Nations representatives, Peter Fallon and Elwyn Henaway.

The composition of our Clinical Council has never been more professionally diverse. With these new members, we can be confident that the counsel and advice it provides will be of an even higher quality.

Deputy Chair EOI

At this month’s meeting, Dr Seema Saddi announced that she would be standing down from the position of Deputy Chair. Dr Saddi will continue as a member of the Council and maintain her strong advocacy for staff wellbeing and wellness initiatives. The Council thanked Dr Saddi for her service in the role.

Expressions of Interest are now open for the position of Deputy Chair. The role is open to those who hold a senior clinical role at Redcliffe Hospital and who demonstrate Metro North Values and the behaviours championed by #IamRedcliffeMore information is available here and the EOI closes on Friday, 2 September 2022.

Thank you to staff

Clinical Council thanks all hospital staff for the work they’ve been doing over these past difficult months.

The Council will meet again in September, and staff are encouraged to raise issues of concern or interest with Council members directly or by emailing the secretariat at: redcliffe-clinicalcouncil@health.qld.gov.au.
