#IamRedcliffe Soup-er staff lunch

Our #IamRedcliffe staff thank you lunch was a bit different this week, with delicious soups instead of the usual BBQ options.

Staff serving at #IamRedcliffe Soup-er lunch on lunch 9 October 2023The change was welcomed by many, with hot chicken and pumpkin soups both available. The chicken soup was the more popular choice on the day, with bread rolls and fruit juice available too.

Thanks again to our Facility Services, Kitchen, and Operational Teams for making it all possible.

Our next #IamRedcliffe Staff Lunch will be a BBQ on Monday, 9 October.

Deprescribing Action Week

This week is Deprescribing Action Week, which aims to raise awareness of polypharmacy and deprescribing.

MedsAware Deprescribing Action Week advertisementPolypharmacy occurs when patients are taking five or more regular medicines. Deprescribing means discontinuing medicines (in a supervised way) that patients no longer need and for which the risk of harm outweighs the benefit to the patient.

Reviewing and working with prescribers to optimise patient medications are part of the important work our hospital pharmacy team does every day.

Redcliffe Pharmacy provides a variety of inpatient and outpatient medication review services – our pharmacists regularly review all inpatients and see over 70 patients in outpatient clinics daily.

Talk to the pharmacy team if your patient would benefit from a medication review and find out more about polypharmacy and deprescribing.
