Today is International Nurses Day. Around the world every May 12, International Nurses Day is celebrated on the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.

More than ever, nurses are the heartbeat of our hospital. Through the ups and downs of the COVID pandemic, opening new wards, responding to natural disasters like the recent floods, our nurses have continued to live and breathe our values with compassion, respect, team work, high performance and integrity.

Nurses make a crucial and integral contribution at STARS, and we continue to witness their amazing passion, ambition and heartful care for our patients and community. We are so proud of your continued commitment to delivering exceptional nursing care and health outcomes.

So today, please make sure that all of you (nurses included) reflect on how important our nurses are and celebrate the amazing advances in nursing care that we benefit from each and every day.

Thank you!
