Metro North Staff Excellence Awards

The commitment and dedication of our staff here at STARS is remarkable so it comes as no surprise that STARS is very well represented in the recently announced finalists for the Metro North Staff Excellence Awards.

These awards recognise staff and teams for their achievements and commitment to our organisational values of respect, teamwork, compassion, integrity and high performance.

This year over 170 nominations were received, with STARS finalists featured in six of the nine award categories. This is a wonderful achievement for the individuals and teams involved.

Staff Council feedback

In addition to our Staff Excellence Awards’ nominations, I also recently read some wonderful feedback you provided our Staff Council. The friendly, supportive and positive team culture at STARS was a recurring theme in the feedback. Some of the comments included:

Christmas decorating 2021

Christmas decorating competition registration deadline

Talking of team and team culture, many of our STARS teams are enthusiastically embracing this year’s Christmas decorating competition. So far, we’ve had 14 areas register their interest. If you haven’t already registered your team area, the deadline is next Thursday 1 December.

STARS Christmas staff breakfast

The STARS Executive team and Staff Council will be hosting a Christmas breakfast for all STARS staff on Tuesday 6 December from 6:30am-8.30am in the Level 3 atrium. We’ll be serving breakfast muffins, croissants and juice, with gluten free and vegan options available. This was a great success last year so please do drop by for a bite to eat and a chat.
