Metro North Staff Survey 2023 coming soon shareableHave your Say Survey

The Have Your Say Survey gives all Metro North employees the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience of the workplace and suggest improvements that could be integrated to improve the way we work together. The next survey will open on May 19 and will take approximately 20 minutes of your time. I encourage all staff to fill out the survey, letting us know how we’ve improved, where we can continue to do better and what we are already doing well.

Help us to continue the high-quality care we strive for and together, we will shape our culture.

For further resources or information on Have Your Say please visit the Have Your Say QHEPS page or contact Charlie Nugent – Principal Capability, Leadership & Learning Advisor, People and Culture 3646 5144 or MNOrganisationalDevelopment@health.qld.gov.au.

STARS doctors celebrating celebrated National Doctor’s Day

Our wonderful STARS doctors!

National Doctor’s Day

Yesterday we celebrated National Doctor’s Day, a day which recognises the contributions that doctors make in the community and to individual lives. I would like to extend a big thank you to our doctors at STARS for their dedication and commitment to patient care.

Midwifery and Nursing STARS scrubsMidwifery and Nursing STARS scrubs

We now have our own STARS specific Nursing and Midwifery scrubs available! The scrubs are an opportunity for Metro North Health nursing and midwifery employees to visually display their support for working towards improved health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, their families, and the wider community. The scrubs celebrate the culture, history and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. STARS scrubs have their own design, based on our unique STARS artwork. You can order your scrubs from Metro North Scrub Range – Dezigna.

STARS Celebration Day

As I mentioned in my last message, Friday 19 May is going to be a day to celebrate STARS- the work we do, our achievements to date and our wonderful team culture. In addition to the official celebration morning tea, there will be a free staff breakfast to kick off the day, a STARS’ quiz to test your knowledge and a STARS’ baking competition! There will be more details to follow but remember to save the date in your calendars.

Easter

This will be my last message before the Easter break. Whether Easter is a time of religious significance or an opportunity to get away or catch up with close friends and family, I wish you all a very Happy Easter for next Friday. For those staff you are working over the public holidays thank you for continuing to provide excellent care to our patients at STARS.

Kind regards,

Helen.
