Administrative Professionals’ Day

Today is Administrative Professionals’ Day where we recognise all the staff who perform administrative duties at STARS from ESO/ASOs, administration officers, receptionists, bookings staff, ward clerks, trust officers, revenue officer and SAOs. Too often these roles go underappreciated but without them our work at STARS would certainly not go as smoothly. On behalf of all the staff at STARS I would like to thank our administrative staff for their professionalism and dedication.

STARS Celebration Day Friday 19 May

I’m pleased to provide more details for STARS Celebration Day. We will kick off the day with a free staff breakfast from 6.30-8.30am. Come and get a brekky burger or croissant on Level 3 mezzanine. Following on at 10.00am we will have an official morning tea to celebrate all that we have achieved at STARS since its opening. I hope you can all join us for the celebrations.

Flu vaccination clinic at STARSFlu vaccinations

This week I attended STARS’ flu vaccination clinic to get my annual flu shot. I encourage all staff to do the same – it only takes a few minutes and ensures that we protect ourselves, our families and our patients from the flu this flu season. STARS’ flu clinic is located on Level 1, Education Centre. You don’t need to book, just bring your Medicare care with you. It is also a good time of year to check that your COVID-19 vaccination is also up to date. If it has been six months or more since your last one, you can get a COVID-19 booster from your doctor or local pharmacy.
