Happy International Women’s Day! Today is when we celebrate the achievements of women in our workforce, raise awareness about discrimination, and take action to drive gender equality. The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is ‘Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal future.’

Some of you may have read this morning’s message from the Metro North Chief Executive, which provides a good history of International Women’s Day and highlights how far we’ve come with regard to achieving equal rights for women in the workplace.

At TPCH, this progress is reflected through the many strong and talented female leaders we have across our programs and services, whose skills, innovative thinking, and leadership qualities add great value to our hospital and its people.

Today is an opportunity to celebrate the many women who make up our excellent TPCH team, and think about how we as an organisation, can continue to create a fair and equitable environment for not only women, but for all people who work and are cared for here.
