Our thanks to the Kilcoy Hospital Auxiliary which generously donated six deluxe chairs for patients recently.

The six Enhance chairs have several features that make a hospital stay a lot more comfortable for patients.

They have adjustable seat depth and height, a high backrest incorporating lumbar and lateral support and are on wheels for easy movement around the facility.

The cushioned seating is pressure relieving for long-term patients. Orthopedic patients can comfortably rest their arms on the padded armrests.

The chairs have a 60cm wide seat and have capacity for bariatric patients (up to 250kg).

Kilcoy Hospital Operations Coordinator Dave Payne said the chairs enabled patients with mobility issues to get out of bed and enjoy visits from family and friends in the courtyard.

“The chairs are fantastic for our patients and already very well-used,” Dave said.

“We really appreciate the ongoing support from the Auxiliary.

“They’re a wonderful group of people who do so much for the hospital and the wider Kilcoy community.”
