Metro North Board Chair Jim McGowan AM and State Member for Morayfield Mark Ryan MP joined the Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment Team in April for a site tour of the Clinical Services Building’s internal works and Level 5 (top floor) suspended slab works.

This was the Board Chair’s first time on the CHRP site and he was pleased to see the building take shape despite the incredible amount of inclement weather the project has experienced.

The project has also caught the attention of Queensland Government agency, State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning (SDILGP), which approached the CHRP team about featuring the project in a video that celebrates Queensland construction projects with a commitment to decarbonisation.

It’s not widely known that the CHRP site was chosen as the trial site for Lendlease’s Biofuels Trial. Biofuels offer a sustainable, low-carbon alternative for the construction industry. On the CHRP project, BioDiesel is being used to power the two tower cranes helping to build the CSB.

The SDILGP team came to site in late April to capture some footage of the biodiesel generators and tower cranes busy at work and were pleased to showcase a Queensland infrastructure project that is seizing the decarbonisation opportunity in construction.

Check out the updated CHRP website, the latest fact sheet and the CHRP Notice Boards on display in staff areas for more details.
