With dress contributions coming in from all over Australia and money donations from businesses up and down the east coast, Graham smashed his target, raising more than $34,000.

Caboolture Hospital Day Procedure Unit Nurse Unit Manager Graham Winbank’s mission to raise money and awareness by participating in Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation’s annual Frocktober campaign was an outstanding success!

With dress contributions coming in from all over Australia and money donations from businesses up and down the east coast, Graham smashed his target, raising more than $34,000.

“The support from Caboolture Hospital and businesses has just been great,” Graham said.

“I wore a different dress each day, either purchased by myself or donated from one of the amazing businesses supporting my cause, then auctioned it off to the highest bidder via my Instagram page @loveyourovaries.

“People could also head straight to my Frocktober donation page and make a donation there.

“For people who can’t afford to donate, the best way you can support is by following my journey through Instagram. I like to post tips on what I’ve learnt from wearing dresses, so I promise it doesn’t get boring.”

Statistics show that of the four women who are diagnosed in Australia each day, only one will survive, making it Australia’s deadliest gynecological cancer.

“I frocked up for woman everywhere who have to fear this disease and for my late wife Lisa, for my two daughters and my four granddaughters,” Graham said.

“Once an early detection test is developed, survival rates could potentially increase to 90 per cent or above.”

Graham hopes his campaign will encourage people to start conversations and increase their awareness to help prevent further loss of life from this silent killer.
