Caboolture Hospital Eat Walk Engage Assistant in Nursing Patricia Saia and Facilitator Camey Demmitt (second from right) receive the donation from Caboolture Sports Club Director Tony Clarke (second from left) and The Common Good Director Mick Dwayne.

With the Brisbane Ekka cancelled for a second year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Caboolture Sports Club Group stepped up and became a regional re-seller of The Common Good’s tasty strawberry sundaes.

The group raised $4000 for The Common Good to fund Delta Therapy Dogs training and visits for patients in Caboolture Hospital’s Eat Walk Engage program.

Therapy dogs have a positive impact on social, emotional, physical and physiological health, improving quality of life and well-being of patients.

There is now a large body of research which supports positive outcomes for various population groups across health and community settings.

A big thank you to the Caboolture Sports Club Group and The Common Good for their support of Caboolture Hospital and patients.
