Laugh Out Loud Moment

“We had a dental patient who came into our emergency clinics for dental treatment. The patient was Hungarian in background and came in with an interpreter. The patient kept talking to her interpreter and repeatedly kept saying the words ‘Corona, Corona, Corona’ while pointing to her mouth.

The interpreter seemed unfazed but we were confused. We became concerned and asked the interpreter if the patient was referring to COVID-19 and if yes, in what capacity. Turns out, in Hungarian, the word used for a ‘Crown’ is ‘Corona’ and the patient was referring to multiple crowns in her teeth.

It was ‘A Crowning Glory/’Corona’ moment for us in the surgery and we all chuckled before moving on.”
