June was yet another significant month which saw some great highlights and some news that brought sadness.
We saw our directorate open community vaccination clinic sites at Doomben Racecourse, Brighton Health Campus and Kippa Ring, alongside our high performing Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS) Vaccination Clinic.
We also acknowledged some worthy Values in Action champions at the Oral Health Centre, who are clearly putting our patients at the forefront of the care we provide.
Sadly, we lost one of our own last month, a very loyal, trusted friend of many and a fierce advocate for our patients and residents – Hayley Middleton.
Middleton, Hayley Narelle
Late of Sunshine Coast, passed away suddenly on 22nd June 2021, aged 54 years.
Dearly loved Wife of Ross, Loving Mother of Elyse and Jack.
Dearly loved GiGi of Darcy. Loved Daughter of Darryl and Cindy.
Loving Sister of Dale.
And, finally I would like to share a quote that I think is reflective of Hayley’s legacy, but also demonstrate the efforts our staff over the last few years.
“Shine your light and make a positive impact on the world; there is nothing more honourable as helping improve the lives of others.”
Take care,
Glynis Schultz
