A very popular winner of the leadership category of the Community and Oral Health Staff Excellence Awards for 2021. Congrats Zuby awesome work.

Zuby’s formal title is CNC Infection control Hotel Quarantine but his role is so very much more. 

Community and Oral Health Acting Executive Director Glynis Schultz said Zuby was recognised as the “go to” person because he is an outstanding infection control practitioner. 

“He goes anywhere, anytime to hotel quarantine, COVID testing at airports, watch houses or backpacker accommodation, or community vaccination clinics … Zuby has it covered,” she said. 

“He is known by many more people because of interpersonal skills and willingness to do his bit to keep Queensland and Queenslanders safe.   

“By gaining the trust of hotel managers and the hotel employees from diverse language groups, Zuby has increased their compliance with good practices in a COVID environment as well as encouraging staff to become vaccinated. 

“He’s a team player always ready to go the extra mile and bring others on the journey. He’s a great leader who shares his knowledge to build the confidence of his team.” 

Glynis said consistent with the criterion for this award, Zuby demonstrated a commitment to high performance and strives for greatness.
