The RBWH Foundation is gearing up for its 40th anniversary and wants Metro North to join the party!
Next year marks four decades of giving to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH), the Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS), Redcliffe Hospital and other prestigious Herston Health Precinct institutes and centres.
“The RBWH Foundation could not have achieved what it has, in the advancement of patient care innovation and life-saving research, without the support of our generous community,” said RBWH Foundation CEO Simone Garske.
“Not only are we commemorating 40 Years Strong but we are also celebrating the extraordinary researchers, medical and health professionals, patients and donors who have shaped our history – and continue to do so.”

The RBWH Foundation was originally established in 1985 as two separate charities supporting the Royal Brisbane and Royal Women’s Hospitals. When the hospitals merged in 2003, so did the Foundations supporting them.
“RBWH Foundation staff have been digging back through forty years of records to create a timeline of impact that we cannot wait to unveil next year,” said Simone.
“There has been world-class research and innovation incubated right across Herston, thanks to the support of the RBWH Foundation community.”
