More than 1,000 hospital staff are now enjoying the benefits of on-campus car parking – and it’s not too late to join them.

Hospital staff can still sign-up for the special staff parking rate and take advantage of salary packaging arrangements.

Director of Facility Services Janene Farr said hospital staff who chose to park off-campus and in nearby streets needed to make sure they understood how parking rules and regulations worked.

“Car parking in the streets around the hospital is regulated by Moreton Bay Regional Council and Queensland Police,” Janene said.

“Anyone who breaks those regulations, by parking too close to driveways, or by not leaving enough space between vehicles, should expect to be fined or have their vehicles towed away.”

Janene said that for most staff, parking on campus was a much safer and better option.

“The hospital’s car park offers undercover parking, with good lighting and security call points. It’s a much safer option for staff, especially those working at night,” Janene said.
