I hope everyone had a Happy Easter and enjoyed some of that important time with family and loved ones. Thank you to everyone who spent part of their Easter long weekend with our patients – your kindness and company were of immeasurable comfort during these times of visitor restrictions.
Over the Easter long weekend Redcliffe Hospital hosted the Health Minister and Chief Health Officer for one of their daily media COVID-19 media briefings. It’s always a positive thing for our community to see that Redcliffe Hospital is every bit on the front line in the fight against COVID-19 alongside the bigger inner-city hospitals.
Our response to this most recent cluster has shown, once again, how dynamic and resilient our hospital can be to the changing COVID-19 environment. Thank you to everyone who responded in such a professional way, bringing confidence to a climate of uncertainty.
We continue to track the progress of Dr Joel Dulhunty as he makes his way back to us from Far North Queensland, on his Big Ride for Redcliffe – raising thousands along the way to fund a new research position at the hospital.
And, lastly, Louise Oriti will be back from leave in Mid-April. Thank you to everyone who has made my time as Acting Executive Director an easier one.
