Redcliffe has never been greener – thanks to the arrival of a new electric vehicle and free electric vehicle charging in the hospital’s multi-storey car park.
Fleet Manager Rhonda Neal said the hospital’s new electric vehicle was a green choice and a good choice.
“It’s a greener alternative, but also the right size vehicle for clinicians who need to take equipment with them on home and community visits.”
Rhonda said that hospital staff were already embracing the change, with the vehicle having logged over 1,000 greener kilometres,” Rhonda said.
Carpark Coordinator Mark Luff is also an active member of the hospital’s Green Team.
He said that many of the 11 electric vehicle charging bays in the multi-storey car park were now in daily use.
“Until the end of the year, there’s no charge for the charge either, with a free trial helping users get into the green habit.”
“Car parking fees still apply, but users only need to download a free app to connect their electric vehicle to charging bays.”
