Ekka activities in the Mental Health Centre
RBWH Mental Health Centre celebrated this year’s some EKKA with some EKKA-themed activities on the adult mental health units.
Each floor participated in the fun, including sideshow style games, homemade show bags and carnival food like hot dogs and ice-cream sundaes.
The activities were facilitated by the Meaningful Activities Program, the Lived Experience team, the Indigenous Health Liaison Office and Occupational Therapy students.
Surgical and Perioperative Services Pay it Forward
Each year, the Surgical and Perioperative Services team puts together a thoughtful hamper to gift to a RBWH team that has assisted them in delivering services.
This year the recipient of their Pay it Forward gesture was the Indigenous Health Liaison Office. Gratitude was flowing both ways during the two teams’ heartfelt and teary-eyed exchange.
International Neonatal Nurses Day bake-off
To celebrate International Neonatal Nurse Day on 15 August, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit their first bake-off. The theme for the inaugural event was ‘Slice to entice’.
