Patient thanks RBWH fever clinic

Fever Clinic NUM Stacy Ponting with a message of thanks from the community

Over the past two years, the RBWH fever clinic team has done an amazing job of servicing our community, remaining flexible, agile and keeping us all safe.

Just before the fever clinic moved from the QUT Kelvin Grove to its new temporary home at the RNA Showground, a delightful member of the local community took the time to write our fever flinic staff a heartfelt thank you. The message reads, “You’re all doing an amazing job. Thank you.”

Fever Clinic nurse unit manager Stacy Ponting has worked in a variety of COVID-19 related roles including at the Brisbane Airport testing new arrivals, as a contact tracer, in hotel quarantine and now as the Nurse Unit Manager for the fever clinic.

“It can be hard work and long days, however I’m lucky to have one of the best teams I’ve ever worked with. It doesn’t matter what challenges we encounter – I know my team has my back and I have theirs,” Stacy said.

“We’re looking forward to continuing to offer vital COVID-19 testing services to the community.”
