RBWH is moving with the times and our Green Team are reviewing their work areas to either reduce or remove the amount of general waste garbage bins under people’s desks.

Everyone can get involved! Take five minutes with your team and see if there is an opportunity to reduce or remove these bins from your area.

There are many benefits of removing all bins from your desk areas and converting your department to centralised bins instead. These benefits include:

• Increased health and wellbeing as not having an easily accessible bin under your desk will encourage a moment to get up and stretch your legs to walk to the nearest bin station!
• Less plastic bin liners and resources being used to empty each little bin each day
