Foodbank Hunger Drive

The results are finally in for the Team Royal contribution to the 2022 Foodbank Hunger Drive, organised each year by the RBWH Nutrition and Dietetics team.

Ahead of Christmas last year, the hospital raised a total of $2621 which equated to 5242 nutritious meals for those who need it most in our community.

Senior Dietician Cindy Jennings said she was proud to see Team Royal once again getting on board with the hunger drive.

“More than two million households in Australia (21%) have experienced severe food insecurity in the last 12 months,” Cindy said.

“As a team who sees firsthand the impact of poor nutrition on people’s overall health, this is a cause that is close to the nutrition and dietetic team’s hearts.

“Thank you to the staff and friends of RBWH who generously donated to help raise funds for Queenslanders in need.”
