Dancing the night away at the Staff Excellence Awards

Friday 3 December was a night to remember at the Metro North Staff Excellence Awards, held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

500 attendees from across Metro North enjoyed an incredible night filled with live music, acrobatics, delicious food and lots of dancing.

RBWH’s Surgical Ambassador team took out the People Focus Award, much to the delight of their colleagues. The team consists of Immanuel Faalau Toafa, Evile Evile and Letusa Kaleti.

The RBWH Surgical Ambassadors are non-traditional security staff managed under protective services who provide patient focused liaison. The Ambassadors focus on the proactive engagement of patients and visitors to improve their experience and prevent aggressive and disruptive behaviour. They achieve this through employing verbal intervention strategies with a focus on respectful, empathetic and supportive interactions.

Congratulations to all the winners. We can’t wait for next year’s awards!
