A car load of donations for Afghan women and children

RBWH midwife Robyn Sinclair, along with a number of her dedicated colleagues from the Women’s and Newborn Services team, has organised hundreds of donations of vital goods for pregnant women and children arriving from Afghanistan on repatriation flights.

Robyn used her own initiative to collect hand-made blankets, baby clothes and other baby goods which have been packed into care packages to be gifted to these women. She received a range of donations from her colleagues, personal networks and even some major retailers. Shayne Heasman from the RBWH Birth Suite also made up a number of packs for the women with hand sewn commemorative badges to welcome them to Australia.

The RBWH team are now working hard to ensure the packs get to the women who need them. Amazing work team!
