The results are in: patients positively rate their experience at STARS.
By using real-time collection and reporting system implemented by Queensland Health, STARS is able to capture Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs). This system supports clinicians in partnering with patients to achieve safe and high-quality care.
“At STARS we are committed to partnering with our patients to provide excellent care,” STARS Allied Health Director Kellie Stockton said.
“Inpatients who are discharged from an inpatient stay at STARS and who have a mobile phone number listed in their hospital record are sent a text message inviting them to participate in the online survey about their recent experience and the care they received.
“The results are in, and 90 per cent of respondents have rated their overall care at STARS as very good (the state average is 72 per cent). Overall, patients have had an excellent experience.”
As of the end of May 2021, STARS is one of the top performers in the state with a 27 per cent response rate – the state average is just 14 per cent!
