Currently, we are working with the Building Engineering and Maintenance Services and staff across the facility to undertake a range of improvement initiatives and projects.
These include:
- Staff dining area refurbishment
- Endoscopy Unit reception upgrade
- Ward 1A and 2A bathroom upgrade
- Palliative Care Unit refresh
- CAM Unit sensory garden
- QuEST storage expansion
- New patient seating for main corridor
- New shade sails for Indigenous healing garden, Doctor’s common room outdoor area, and Adult Emergency Department’s outdoor area
- Sterile stock room project
TPCH is also about to commence a number of major capital infrastructure projects:
- New 1,500 bay multi-storey car park
- Gastroenterology procedural unit
- Emergency Department expansion
These projects will be undertaken in close consultation with clinical areas.
There has been feedback from a number of staff about the progress of the swimming pool. The decision about the pool has been currently put on hold due to the consideration of health and safety requirements, and the potential impact of planned capital infrastructure projects. We hope to have a final decision to share with staff in the coming weeks.
