It’s hard to believe we find ourselves in March 2023 already!

To kick off the year, the Staff Council is excited to welcome some new members:

Renelle Hardy: RBWH Peer Responder Coordinator
Jen Jewell: Social Worker, Early Patient Intervention Centre
Scott Surkitt: Service Manager, Genetic Health
Paul Borserini: Patient Support Officer, RBWH
Czarina Carvajal: Registered Nurse, Gastroenterology

We look forward to working with our new and existing members and hearing their unique perspectives and ideas.

Some members of the Council have recently moved on and we would like to thank them for their commitment.

2023 Planning

Council met to discuss and brainstorm new initiatives that we are excited to bring to life. The leading initiative this year is increasing awareness of the Staff Council and our role within RBWH, as well as a continued focus on health, wellbeing and advocacy for staff.

Departmental visits

We would welcome the opportunity to receive an invite to one of your staff meetings to get to know the teams and departments across RBWH. We recognise that emails are not always the best form of communication for busy clinical and non-clinical staff. To our colleagues who are not on site at the RBWH, we want to ensure you are represented and involved. If you have any ideas, big or small, please let us know.

Short Notice Accreditation

We recognise you are all preparing for Short Notice Accreditation that will occur anytime after the 1 July 2023 with 24hrs notice. This is important for our organisation.

10 years of Council

This year marks 10 years of the RBWH Staff Council. We have grown and changed a lot in the past decade and we want to celebrate with you. Keep an eye out for updates.
