We apologise that we have not sent out an update for a while but like everyone, things have been busy.

Recently, the Staff and Shadow Councils have visited many of you in the wards and across different facilities. We received feedback that teams across the hospital are working especially hard to support RBWH and our facilities. We would like to commend you for your extraordinary commitment. Thank you for being so welcoming to us on our visits and for providing your thoughts and ideas. We have collated your feedback and forwarded it to the appropriate parties. We would like to give a special shout out to Gillian Nasato for being so supportive as we respond to feedback and work with the relevant teams to drive positive change. With restrictions lifting, now is the perfect time for you to contact us to arrange a visit to your area!

R U OK? Day

Today, Thursday, 8 September is R U OK? Day. Both the Staff and Shadow Councils support this event and the importance to continually check in on yourself and others. Your mental wellbeing is imperative.

RBWH has got Talent

Staff Council Wear it Purple DaySubmissions are currently open for RBWH has got Talent. Please look at our page to see previous submissions and to register your vote. Last year’s vote tally was over 800 and we hope to triple it this year. Best of luck to all teams!

Wear it Purple Day

The Councils were proud to support this event last week. This is a day to create a supportive, safe, empowering, and inclusive environment for rainbow young people.

As always, look after yourselves. You are absolutely worth it.

Liz Bennett and Paul Kubler
Chair and Deputy Chair of the RBWH Staff Council
