Construction is on schedule and planning now underway for Operational Commissioning.
While construction of the new Clinical Services Building and multi-storey carpark continues to gain momentum, we collectively need to turn our attention to Operational Commissioning.
Operational Commissioning is the process of preparing the building for occupation. It’s the process of ensuring we have the right people, processes, systems and technology in place to safely transition services and patients to the new Clinical Services Building and commence operations from day one.
This phase of work includes Building Readiness, Relocation Readiness and Service Readiness and is jointly led by Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment Project (CHRP) and the Caboolture, Kilcoy, Woodford Directorate.
Teams to design and deliver readiness activities are being established to ensure we deliver a smooth and safe transition of new and existing services for patients and staff.
Change management and extensive communications and engagement activities will be rolled out with the Operational Commissioning phase to ensure staff are informed and supported through the commissioning process and to ensure the transition is as seamless as possible.
2021 continues to be an exciting year for the Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment. This next phase of the project is a wonderful opportunity for us to work together and get ready for the opening of the new and refurbished spaces in the expanded hospital.
