Social and Emotional Wellbeing Program

Metro North Health are committed to providing a culturally safe and supportive working environment to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce free from racism and discrimination, and ensuring that staff have access to holistic culturally safe and responsive person-centred care.

The Social and Emotional Wellbeing Program has been established to improve and support the social, emotional and mental wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees working across Metro North Health services by leading the change required to deliver equitable, accessible, responsive, and culturally sensitive psychological care which respects and promotes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employee’s cultural integrity.

This culturally safe, private and respectful service will support and work alongside staff to ensure their needs are identified and supported. It allows staff to work in a respectful and safe space where values and beliefs are respected.
